We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift for our client in Ayer, MA. The ideal candidate would need a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities for this position will include setting priorities and preventative maintenance work based on plant action items and failure maintenance requests. Oversee root cause analysis/reliability strategies in terms of continuous improvement and operational excellence of the maintenance shift.

The Day to Day:

• Hold maintenance mechanics accountable for work-related duties (attendance, work order documentation, and performance).
• Work cross-functionally with different plant departments to support plant operation (food safety, plant safety, production, human resources).
• Communicates and collaborates with all shift leads to troubleshoot mechanical issues via email, text, or phone as issues arise.
• Oversee and direct other contractors providing maintenance, repair, or construction services in the buildings.
• Ensure inspections, logs, and records are being performed and maintained.
• Direct and plan the activities and establish priorities for the workforce.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, receive materials, as well as reconciling invoices relating to materials ordered.
• Maintain and operate a computerized maintenance program.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must have the ability to work 2nd Shift through its entirety
• Strong understanding and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems. Managing maintenance KPIs is required.
• Functions at a high level of mechanical knowledge. Ability to comprehend and repair most equipment failures.
• Proven ability to develop and retain top talent, career succession planning, coaching/training, and ability to drive process improvement while adhering to budget.
• Experience creating/enhancing a preventative maintenance program.
• Maintenance Supervisor role, preferably in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable fields, like Pneumatics, Plumbing, Electricity, Hydraulics, and general maintenance of industrial equipment.

Pay Rate/Shifts:

• $90k to $95k /per yr
• 2nd Shift- Monday to Friday
• 2:30 PM until production is over
